Macsu音エク
Back in 2012, he was named Eku, and had a Macne aesthetic. He kept this theme up until 2014, and the name until 2018 when I returned to UTAU and rebranded him as Ezekiel. This is the first public voicebank I released, though there were other previous tests.

マコ音エク VCV lite
After years of recording CV banks, I finally made the jump to VCV. The full VCV banks I recorded and tested before were lost or deleted because of poor pronunciation, however, this retains the nasal sound of the previous 3 CV banks. I had also recorded a CVVC lite around this time but had no use for it so I salvaged some extra samples from that bank and packaged them with this one.

マコ音エク 「-VIBE+」 VCV lite
By 2014, I was tired of Eku being a Macne-fanloid and moved on to a new design. With a darker palette and his first multipitch voicebank, Eku stepped into the new era of powerscale UTAU. This bank was originally intended to be multi-expression, [-] being for soft and [+] being for power, but I only managed to record the power set and gave up. I have also copied the CVVC extras from the previous bank for this one as well.

マコ音エク 「-VIBE+」2.0 VCV lite
The next year, I obtained my first new microphone in years, one many had recommended online for recording UTAU. They failed to mention how bass-heavy it was and that recording power banks on it was basically useless. For some reason I felt -VIBE+ needed an update, and for this version, I recorded with more aspirated consonants and added vocal fry like every other UTAU at the time.

As -VIBE+ was the harsher part of Eku's voice,
I decided to focus on the softer end. Pysc ended up
being a whispery, almost creepy-sounding bank
and was going to be left as one pitch, but I added a middle and falsetto pitch before release. This bank has some unique extras other Eku banks don't; rolled R's and _ua/_ui/_ue/_uo samples that can all aid in emulating Spanish.

The last two banks were far too extreme in their respective voice types, so I tried to record something in the middle. This bank still came out rather raspy but fits almost perfectly between them. It features less aspirated consonants and focuses on expression, having vocal fry and a sultry, dark low set.

As practice for myself, I dove back into CVVC, making a personal lite list for testing that I also released for others to use. It mildly matches the tone of -VIBE+ 2.0, but lacks strength or aspirated consonants. However, it adds unique extras not found in -VIBE+ 2.0 that may be useful when paired.
